Stop Walk Talk

Here is my group's video from our Year 5 Movie Afternoon:

 

The day the books ruled the world

One fine Sunday morning Jack was having a lie in, though 

his sisters were not.

They were tossing and turning trying to block out the horrible 

noise coming from Jack's nose and iPod.

Finally Isadora gave up and got out of bed, turned the

 music off and kicked Jack.When kicking him didn't work, Isadora 

grabbed his pyjama shirt and screamed in his ear,

"WAKE UP!!".

At this you can probably see that Isadora doesn't like to be

disturbed. Luckily Jack woke up before things started getting 

violent.  After a while Evie said,"Finally I can get some beauty sleep".

When Evie woke up Isadora was standing over her and she

wasn't happy.

As usual Jack chose the outfit that showed off his muscles the
most.  Isadora always wore black leggings , black top, black jacket
and black boots.  Now I won't go into what Evie was wearing because that would take
forever...

''Um, no it won't. I was wearing a pink bra with black spots and my
undies were..''

NO!! not the undies!

''Fine''.

Good.

''What about the colour?''

No!

''Okay''. Well then let's get on with the story.

''No! Wait it was a pink / beige coloured high waisted skirt and a hot pink
 coloured  crop ...''

Okay that's good [please note my sarcasm].

Lets carry on.  Luckily before Evie could get dressed she had to go on one of 
her fashionista runs [A.K.A walks] and of course she dragged Isadora and 
Jack to come.

The three took a step outside and saw the commotion of books double slapping 
people and giving people paper cuts basically causing World War 3 between books
and the countries.

''What is that!!!!???!'' Evie was terrified

''That is your death.'' Isadora explained

''No, we are all going to die!!!!!''Evie screamed

''Hopefully just you....'' Isadora groaned.

Of course Evie took it personally. ''Hey, I have feelings as well''.

''Which I don't care about''.

''Girls girls, I know no one would want me to die'' Jack smiled as he said it.

''Yea'' Evie said dreamily.

''EW! He's your brother''Isadora shouted

''Oh yea'' Evie looked embarrassed. 

Isadora suggested that they find out 
what was happening to the world. Jack and Evie agreed with her for the
 first time in there life and they were thirteen. They also agreed that they 
would never agree with each other again.

Their plan started out like this. Jack started to distract the books, so all 
their attention was on him, so Isadora and Evie could sneak past the book
guards [I know it sounds crazy I know]. ''He is such a bad actor'' Isadora 
whispered as Jack screamed like a little girl when the books came close to
him.

''Yea, I hope he stays alive''Evie said softly. Isadora just looked at her and I
think you can guess her expression right? right.

So the girls ran,hide,ran ,hide and on and on and on.After hours and hours
 of running and hiding they found the lab. Good news,they found it! Bad news 
,there were guards surrounding it. They were human and they seemed to be in a 
haze like they were hypnotized by something or someone.Just then a massive 
shape crossed with a bull and a human came towards them. Evie saw it first 

''Mon mon mon''

''Mon what?''Isadora said angrily. Evie pointed behind her....

''MONSTER!!''

Then they both screamed in unison so loud ,you're lucky you weren't there 
because the sound would have blasted out your eardrums. Because of the 
loud noise,the guards snapped out of it and held off the monster while the 
girls slipped inside and all it was just buttons and............books.

''What!!All that for books!'' Isadora screamed and threw the books across
the floor.Then a book fluttered open.They looked and they read 'We will take 
over the world and be read again'. The girls looked at each other,''they just
want to be read again''.

After telling Jack the problem, he found the loud speaker and they figured 
that Isadora should say it because she had a loudest voice. The message
spread quickly that the book just wanted to be read. Quickly libraries
and book stores reopened.The only thing was that people were forgetting
technology. 


THREE YEARS LATER...

''AHHHHHHHHH'' the three screamed. 

   

      







  
            

The white bowl

Once upon a time there was a girl called Ivy who lived with her mean stepmother. Her father had left to the war, but when he came back he left her. Ivy's stepmother became insane after that so she decided to take her anger out on Ivy. One day Ivy was looking in the cupboard when she saw a pearl white bowl. She shouted ''Sara! do you know this bowl?''
Her evil stepmother replied: ''IF IT IS UGLY THEN ITS YOUR REFLECTION IN THE MIRROR!''
''Uh.'' said Ivy

Ivy was sick and tired of her stepmother bossing her around so she decided to take the bowl out of the cupboard and never let her stepmother see it in her lifetime her lifetime she thought with an evil look on her face. She suddenly shook and the thought went tumbling out of her head and into another persons head. Now I just need to get past Sara and she's guarding the stairs like a guard dog. She stopped for a second and thought piece of cake I can climb out of the kitchen window run to my window put the bowl on my bed side table and then I climb in.

A few minuets later Ivy was in her room watching Victorious when Sara screamed ''DINNER IS READY AND YOU ARE STILL UGLY AND NOT GETTING MY PRETTY DRESS!!!'' Ivy leaped out of bed ran down the stairs nearly tripping over the cat and landing safely in her seat at the dining table. What she didn't know was that the bowl was spilling out its magic, suddenly animals appeared everywhere. A fox jumped out and he's not a normal fox. His coat was gold and his eyes were bronze and there were lots more majestic animals in her room.

Two days later...

''Sara! Let them go they're animals that deserve to be free!!!''
''NO I WILL NEVER LET THEM GO BECAUSE THEY ARE THE OPPOSITE TO YOU WHICH MEANS THEY ARE PRETTY AND YOU ARE UGLY!!!!!!!!!''
''You are so evil.'' Ivy whispered but Sara didn't pay her any attention.

It was the middle of the night and Ivy crept out of bed to free the animals. She knew it was okay because she could hear Sara's loud snores ''ZZZ.'' Ivy dissembled all of the security cameras and snuck down stairs and let the animals go.

The next morning Sara was being dragged out of the house by a couple of birds whilst Ivy was getting a sleep in.    
                                                    THE END       

Aeeeeea the alien

In a land called LooPoo there is a little alien boy called Aeeeeea-Tom. He is a bright little alien boy and goes to shcoco-school every lala-day.

His favorite sula-subject is Earth where they learn about the weird two eyed creatures world and how they will destroy it. One of his favorite things to learn about in Earth is that blue stuff that is also clear, what is it again? Ohhhhhh, got it's, water.

When shcoco-school is finished Aeeeeea-Tom goes to the utes-courts to play ballbasket-basketball with his friends PeeDoo-Ben, Rara the girl-Anna and Lasha-Jack. Aeeeeea-Tom has a slight chroro-crush on Rara the girl-Anna but he won't admit it. For some odd reason, he always blushes when she's around.

To get home Aeeeeea-Tom walks along the train tracks. When he gets home he feeds Urla-Coco his uckou-cat and Ah!-Max his heppiee-dog.

When it is dinner time Aeeeeea-Tom and his famulo-family love to eat tolu-your favorite food and fanu-your second favorite food but they really LOVE to eat FALU!-all your favorite foods together and your favorite drink. Oh my Gops that food is delicious! M m m m m m m.

 So good!!! Anyway, at bedtime Aeeeee-Tom kahas-sleeps in his human car.

Awesome Me

                           I am an awesome person because of my qualities, my qualities are, I'm kind
                           I'm a dog whisper and last but not least i'm positive when I put my mind to it.


                          I'm kind which means I'm nice. Hugging is one of my kind qualities and I'm really
                          good at it at least that's what me and my friends think. Sometimes a friend or just
                          someone in general is upset I'm always there to cheer them up. Just like when one
                          of my friends was upset I cheered them up by making them laugh.

                       
                          Another quality of mine of course involves dogs I'm a dog whisper! I love dogs and
                         dogs love me. When a dog is about to attack I know when it's going to happen and I
                         know how to stop it. E.g.when my friend Eve and her little sister Eila where in the dairy
                        getting ice cream for all three of us when two small dogs and my dog being nervous thought                           'i'm not going to let them attack me so I will attack them first'so she had a little go but I                                   stopped her and everything was all right I got my ice cream and Rosie was a good girl


                        I'm not usually your all year round happy person but when I make myself do it I'm happy. I                           like it like that because when I want to be happy I'm happy and when I don't I don't as                                simple as that.


                      Overall I'm an incredible person and there is no one like me!

The Bridge

                               


One day out in the forest a bear and a moose walked up to a bridge. Obviously on opposite sides because they can't be friends. They started to walk onto the bridge at the same time the moose walking and scratching his butt and not paying attention the bear was walking and practicing his big intense stare. When they bumped each other they started to fight the bear was fierce the moose was to. A lovely cute raccoon came up to the bear an asked if he could get through the bear grabbed him by the neck bobbed him on the head and through him down the sand on the start of the bridge. Soon a rabbit walked up to the moose and did the same as the raccoon  the moose kicked the rabbit back in the sand. The raccoon and rabbit where angry. They made a plan. The bear and the moose where fighting again but they started to fall because the bridge was tilting on its side the rabbit was biting the rope the raccoon was cleverly untying it as well the moose and the bear fell of the hill side. The rabbit and the raccoon walked onto the bridge and the rabbit jumped over the raccoon and they carried on with life.

Did you know that 23 species of animals are turned into skin a million times a year? Today I'm going to tell you about why we should stop animal skinning NOW. If you keep listening I will tell you about how there is no point in it, how animals are endangered because of it and how we can stop it.

Do you ever think of why people skin animals?  Well, people actually skin animals for the pleasure and the money - that means there is no real point to it. Animals are skinned so that we have bags, shoes, jackets, wooly jumpers, and childrens’ toys. Also did you know that they skin animals alive? Plus 500 cats and dogs are illegally killed each day in Japan. There is fake fur available so why are we harming animals when we could be using that instead.

Animals are endangered because of horrid animal skinning. More than half of real fur clothes are made in China where people sometimes buy land to skin animals. These farms are called fur farms and are terrible. In these so called fur farms they rub chilli peppers and tobacco in the animals eyes before skinning them so that the animals can't see anything. Do you like llamas? Well even they are skinned for our clothes. But we can stop it! Even more horrible things happen to harmless animals every day. Just like how goats are sold for slaughter after they have been skinned. Plus 3,000 silkworms are skinned for every pound of silk each day.

Now that you know about animal skinning and the effect on animals, I’m going to tell you how we can stop it. Stop buying animal  clothing and accessories for the sake of animals. Please go to Peta.org where you can donate money to stop it. Tell your friends to be fur free. Last of all follow the Peta campaign ‘skinned alive’ on facebook so you can learn more.

Now you have heard my reasons I urge you to stop this. Do every thing you can to end this terrible thing that is happening. Stop animal skinning!!!

Science Investigation

                               

                          Atlantic Ocean- Center of the Ocean 

Did you know that surfing in the Atlantic ocean makes a higher evaporation rate. Wind is a higher evaporation rate. Water evaporates in larger areas. The higher the wind speed the higher the evaporation rate.

                                             Questions

•    How are waves made?
•    How do clouds move if they are are wind?
•    Sometimes the sun is out but there is no clouds how is that?
•    How fast can the wind blow?
•    What would happen if there was no wind at all?

A cloudy lesson

Luke walked up the ladder with his grandad Thom. He was going to make some clouds today. On the platform ubove the sky Thom showed Luke how to make a cloud ' wow ' Luke thought 'grandad is really good at making clouds'. When Luke had a go he only made a little cloud. So Thom showed Luke  what to do with his breath.

 Of course Luke copied his grandad but nothing happened so he tried again this time harder making the cloud maker fall down but Luke went with it. Thom ran over to Luke who had just noticed the dent in the cloud maker/key. Luke tried to put it back in a circle but failed this time he made it into a long circle instead. He suddenly had an idea. Suddenly he changed it into a star grandad blew on it and every cloud they make from now on  they have it in a shape.

Clocktower writing

I never wanted this.  I never wanted to be so lonely.  It all started when fell in love with a prince - I mean you would too. He was so handsome and his parents were very nice. When we got together he would always bring me balloons, even when we fought. He was very protective over me if another boy came and talked to me the prince would be there, he would also be there if my brother started abusing me in public. Basicly he was the best boyfriend ever. One day I went to the beach.  My sister wasn't with us because she was with her boyfriend By accident I saw her kissing her boyfriend -when I saw his face I nearly had a heart attack. .....It was the PRINCE!!  I felt horrible. At home my parents tried to cheer me up - had they known this all along?  My sister came in looking smug.  I wanted to punch her in the face.  When she me she asked what was wrong.  I wanted to say 'Hi fat butt' but before I could say anything my parents said, "She is just upset that you have a boyfriend and she doesn't."
I didn't know what they were talking about.  Just then, the prince came in.  I had to resist the urge to punch him in the face as well as my sister.  Then the prince saw that me and my sister were in the same house.  He just said "Never mind." really fast and shut the door on his way out.

Going to bed was a nightmare that night.  Finally I gave up trying to sleep.  Then I heard a tap, tap, tap.  The prince was standing outside my window!
"C'mon." he said with a smile on his face.
"OK I said, my heart racing. We climbed outside and he took me to a clocktower- inside was the most beautiful dress ever.  It was soft and silky.  The colour was my favourite- a pinkish white whch covered the dress.  At the bottom was a cog.  He asked me to put it on and told me to go to sleep. When I woke the dress was tight on my body and felt rough.  The prince was no-where to be seen.
I suddenly realised what I had to do.  I connected the cog at the bottom of my dress with the other cogs fastened around the room.  I twirled on my tiptoes and the world suddenly started to wake up again.  All because I was controlling the world now.  If I stopped spining and went outside now the world would stop again.

Maths goal: I want to know groupings to 1000

I have not achieved this goal because I forgot about it.

I normally edit my work while I'm going so when I when I write I edit and I like to write.

I have sort of achieved this goal because my mum has made me practice. I am also getting about 63% every time.

When the teacher calls out my name I go "right here honey bun!" Then she called out Alex's name and Alex goes "is better than" the teacher then calls Josh's name and the whole class starts laughing while Alex has a smug look on her face and josh is shouting "NO you are not better than me! NO!!".Just then two new girls walk in. At first I think "these new girls uhh-"and then I see that Sivan is one of them so  I motion her to come sit with me and she does. When we start our warm up I talk to Sivan all the way into the circle and then it is time to start.

                                             Dances

First we had to redo our teacher dance I didn't know the dance because I wasn't there when we learned it so it was new to me. When we finished the teacher dance we did arm and foot combination and that was really fun we went through it agin for the new people. I told Sivan to copy me because she was right behind me. After arm and foot combination we did our dance the hardest but the shortest so hard but short the thing is the dance is the one we take things off of so in every dance we have some of our dance in. I like our dance best.

                                   Freestyle circle 

After our dance we had a game it was called video camera. When the game finished we had freestyle circle I was thrird and Alex was before me Josh was first after his go Alex had her turn the whole time I was thinking this is easy this is easy this is easy this is easy this is easy then it was my turn I tried to give it my all. 

EOTC

 


                  Friday                                  POOLS!                                                       EOTC

           On Friday in EOTC week 2015 we went to the pools it was really fun here is how the day                    went.            


             First we rushed back from the old folk's home and got changed as fast as we could [the girls

            won that one] then we had morning tea fast after that we got into groups and met our adults                 for the first time.

       

             Then we got on the bus I sat next to Ella and read my book [Hero's of Olympus] the whole                  journey I got so into my book I didn't notice the teacher telling us to get of the bus so Ella

             had to nudge me very hard to stop me reading my book.

           

             Once we got of the bus we had lunch in a park  then we got to play on the playground for 20                 mins then we got our bags and went to the pools.


              First we had lessons the first lesson I had was beach safety we learnt about rips at the start                   we learnt how to detect rips that was super funny secondly we made a rip by getting in a                    circle and running around will staying in that circle.                    



             My second lesson was pool safety we learned how to get into a pool then we learned how to                paddle water after that we did the duck dive.


       
            For my third lesson we went to life jackets first we got our life jackets on and jumped in then               we floated on our backs and kicked to get somewhere after that we learned how to put on our
           life jackets will in the water and that was quite fun.


       
          After all the lessons we had free time! at the start me,Beth and Madison played a game where I           was a mermaid and they where my pet dolphins we played that game for about 10 mins then it             got a bit chaotic.


        First we attacked a few boys then more came in so there was more to attack so me Beth and                 Madison got more reinforcements.



      After all that chaos it was time to get out and get dressed so I grabbed my swim bag and ran to the      changing room as I was walking to the bit where you get changed Roman was peaking through !
    luckily he couldn't see anything past the wall but I shooed him off then I got changed.



  After the pools we ate some more at the park [and played some more] then we hopped back on the       bus and drove back to school.

Worried, because this is something I have never done before and I am terrified.

Rangitoto (Monday) because we go to a cave and I love caves.

Water life safety, because I know all of it and I don't like revising.

The whole week is terrifying because it is so new.

5. In Room 32 we are working on managing ourselves - that means being responsible and making good decisions. Tell us how you could make good decisions and be responsible during EOTC week.
